For the last of our Messenger stories, please let us introduce Sacheen Littlefeather.

Sacheen Littefeather is an American actress, model, and Native American activist. She is a trailblazer and was the first woman of color, and the first indigenous woman, to use the Academy Awards platform to make a political statement.

By her early 20’s she was the head of a local affirmative action committee where she worked as a public service director, successfully campaigned for Stanford University to remove their offensive “Indian” sports team symbol, and even studied representation in film, television, and sports.

Join us as we travel back to the 1920’s for this prohibition themed night. The night will include live music from Squid City Slingers, a Burlesque performance from Petty Treason Productions and prohibition style cocktails. The performance will be held in our private B-Side Lounge, space is limited and tickets are required.
